Giveaways!

Folded by Joe Hamamoto

The swan-shaped receptacles were folded by me years ago- found in the 2002 May issue #321 of NOA.  Designed by Mr. Kazukuni ENDO.

Happy Mail!

This arrived for me last Tuesday:

It took me a while to renew my subscription; but the good thing about Tanteidan is that you can subscribe anytime and receive all the magazines within the year's volume.

NOA, on the other hand, I have yet to renew, and am kind of bummed I've let so many issues elapse.

NOA January 2018 issue review

February NOA issue

It says "February 2017 review", but this is actually for 2018, issue #510:

I was thinking Heather had maybe gotten weary of doing reviews; or didn't renew her subscription (I still have yet to renew mine- it's been months or a year, now).  But I'm thinking maybe it's because she's now folding examples of the models that appear in the magazine- so taking longer to post?

NOA issue #500!

Completely missed this review:

Personally, I felt pretty let down by the issue.  I had bigger hopes there'd be something more special about it; but it was mostly bleh.  Such a milestone issue...

Oh, well.
