Given that there were 3 videos (with Chainey's second appearance in 2 parts), I didn't even think to head 'em off at the pass and disable the third video. I uploaded it so long ago, my mind wasn't thinking of preemption. So it seems 3 strikes and I'm out. Seems grossly unfair to have my account deleted in this manner. If I had subsequently uploaded more copyright infringing videos after their notice, then I'd say that qualifies as "repeat violation".
Ah well.....some 200 videos (origami, gymnastics, and others) that I have to consider whether or not it's worth the time to upload....
One blessing is that I don't have to receive all those comments blasting me for the WCOG video showing Phu Tran teaching it to members, but not being an instructional video of his rose. My God, if you people only knew what a headache that's been....

Ugh, thats a low blow man :/. Youtube has cracked down hard on anything remotely copyright infringing, and their actions are pretty impersonal.
I've always enjoyed your WCOG and convention videos, ever since you uploaded them for the O-List long ago. It gave me insight into origami groups and clubs, since being out in the "Kentucky wilderness" I've never been to one (well, besides attending the OUSA convention twice, I've not been to a gathering of origamists).
"Phu Tran Rose", a phrase that will live in infamy in my mind, along with other such disputes and quarrels amongst the origami world. "Even the most tempting rose has thorns" comes to mind to anyone seeking to learn this model, without learning it in person that is. I'm sorry that you've had to go through that.

Thanks for the support. It's just aggravating at first, then you let it go.
It'd just be nice if they had a better way of dealing with this. Can't really complain too hard, since the service they provide is free to users. But yeah, there's really no one to contact and communicate with to resolve these kinds of issues without being erased from existence.
I've opened another account and will try to restore most of what's been lost.
Well, my account is back. I guess they didn't delete it (didn't even notify me to tell me it was restored). But I'm supposed to sign some new form, repenting my earlier trespass.
