Reshaping

A little makeover....

I wasn't satisfied with the neck and figured I could position the arm and bow a little better.

Are you wetting and then clamping? Or is clamping sufficient? My skills aren't very advanced, so I've enjoyed seeing these posts lately with the clamps to get done "how to" ideas in context.

Hi Katie,

I moisten the paper a bit with methyl cellulose, which helps stiffen the paper. Water is probably enough with elephant hide; but I especially will use mc for lighter-weight paper that need stiffening for final shaping purposes (unryu, LaFosse paper, lokta, etc.).

Hope that helps.
